Grandad, I never got the chance to meet or have you in my life, but I would of loved it if i had, but i know i will get the chance one day.
They always say that the good ones are taken first .. and they're right, but it doesn't mean you'll ever be forgotten, u'll always be missed and loved by everyone you knew.
You had a wonderful wife, and a beautiful daughter together, who thanks to you, are mine and Cheryl's fantasic nan and mum who we truly adore.
Mum was with you when you sadly passed away, and this is her story that she wrote ..
I love you Dad in every way possible, and i always will do.
The day you were taken from us (friday 31st january 1986) it was a cold winters day, and we were walking up the road towards town at 10.30 in the morning. The last thing you ever said to me was 'we will get across this road now' and we crossed the road .. and then you were GONE.
I felt so helpless as i could`t do anything to help you, the ambulance men were great and helped you all they could, but it was too late, you had gone from this world before you fell to the ground. People stopped to help you ,but to no avail.
The next few hours were a total daze for me and mum, i really felt like a zombie trying to concentrate on things.
Nearly 24 years have gone past now, and i have two beautiful daughters which i would of loved you to meet .. and you will do one day in the future. My hubby andy .. u`d of gotten on with him like a house on fire.
Well Dad until we meet again some day, sleep tight and watch over all of us and make sure that we are safe.
I just want you to know and remember that ..
I LOVE YOU SOOOOO MUCH ALWAYS AND FOREVER !!!!

I am sorry, I have only just learned of Franks death. He was a good friend and a good worker. I worked with him for the Direct Labour Organization around 1965.He was a good man.

Happy New Year Grandad!! (Sorry it's a little late) Hope the start of your year has been good and you celebrated the new year with a few pints :) I didnt even have a drink, nor Christmas, well not a proper one anyways, maybe tomorrow nite :) hehe. Was just saying to Bev that 2O11 has come round really quickly, it's been 3 years today since she sadly left us :( Oh saying that it's your birthdaaay soon :D 31st and we'll be coming to visit you to wish you a happy birthday :) Did you have a good Christmas as well?! I hope you did. Did you like the flowers mum left you the other day?! I liked the white ones better but she thought you'd like the red ones more haha, and the wreath nan left you, the sparkly one .. very glitz, and i see you brought the sun out on the last day of the year as well while we were there :) and didnt you shine! Im sure you loved the sparkly wreath, made your headstone look all pretty :) hehe. Cheryl's getting married next year, March 17th hopefully, but you probably already know that hehe, hope you'll be there :) ah, course you will be :D she's still deciding on a dress, she did pick one but i thinks shes trying a few different ones on 1st, making sure its the perfect one for the day :) and im bridesmaid! hehe. Cant wait :)
